Chat And CLI

Agentic Unit supports interactive work in chat and from the command-line client. Both use the same teams, agents, jobs, and remote runtime. The CLI also supports a local-checkout workflow.

Requirements

  • Access to an Agentic Unit environment and membership in a team
  • At least one enabled agent for that team
  • Node.js 22.12 or newer
  • Yarn Classic
  • Access to the internal Artifactory package registry

The CLI currently supports the Development, Integration, and Consolidation environments. The web application is available only in environments where it has been deployed.

Install and authenticate the CLI using the package and registry instructions provided by your Agentic Unit platform team. Do not copy authentication values into a repository or shell script.

Start A Job

Select a team and agent, then describe a focused task. The CLI can list teams, agents, and jobs; resume an existing job; and retrieve a completed result.

Inside an interactive session, slash commands add context or control the job:

Command Purpose
/repos Select one or more repositories.
/ticket Attach ticket context.
/local Use the current local checkout as context.
/attach Attach a file.
/apply Apply a returned local patch.
/interrupt Interrupt the current operation and keep the job available.
/done Finish the interactive session.
/stop Stop the job.

Use the command's built-in help for the exact syntax and currently available options.

Repository And Ticket Context

Agentic Unit can work with multiple repositories in one job. Select only the repositories the task needs and state which one should receive changes. Ticket context can be combined with repository context when the selected agent has the relevant Jira or Azure DevOps skill.

Attachments are intended for supporting context and have a maximum raw size of 6 MiB each. Do not attach secrets or files containing credentials.

Remote And Local Results

In the standard remote workflow, Agentic Unit works in an isolated workspace and can return a pushed branch and commit information. Review the branch and open a pull request through your normal process.

With /local, Agentic Unit can use the current checkout and return a patch. Inspect the patch before using /apply; your existing uncommitted work remains your responsibility.

Continue Or Recover A Job

Use the jobs command to find recent jobs, resume a job that needs more direction, and use the result command to inspect completed or failed output. Prefer resuming when the follow-up needs the existing conversation and workspace.

Interrupt a running operation when you want to redirect it. Stop the job when you no longer need it. Avoid starting duplicate jobs while the original is still queued or running.
